Best interessant!
Fun extra's that came with the start of the new panels that I showed here yesterday: sometimes I found the paint a bit too thick on the panels and I printed the excess in my sketchbooks. Interesting results!
These are two new panels that I started this week (acrylics on 60 x 60 cm panels). Now they have to sit in my studio for a while to see what I possibly still need to add.
Twee onlangs verkochte werken in hun nieuwe omgeving.
Two recently sold works in their new surroundings. So nice to receive pictures from my buyers!
The small, abstract panels that I made this summer on a trip along the North Sea coast are all for sale. Four of them have been sold so far, but the rest is still available. Below you can find all of them; all made with acrylic paint and collage on 9 mm mdf panels of 30 x 20 cm.

This is the current state of the three ‘music’-panels that I'm working on. All three of them unfinished, but no clue as to how I should continue on either one of them. Usually this problem will work itself out after doing something completely different for a while, so these panels are now on hold, together with the other works that were still ‘marinating’.
After a while I did notice I went too far with the colors, so I added another layer of white. And then of course I decided it was too white and went overboard with color again. Not finished yet...
Alright, here you can already see things going wrong with my musical stencil prints: too many colors on top of each other, which makes the image way too messy. But this ‘soap’ is far from over. Let me warn you: it still gets a lot worse...
Hieronder twee voorbeelden.
By the way, I did find a few nice details in these unfinished panels.
Here are two examples.
As promised, the sequel to the musical stencil prints I started last week. On a colored collage background I first printed the stencils in black and then in white over that, deliberately shifting the stencils a bit. Pictures of these first two stages are below. Then I couldn't stop and added many layers of color, which in hindsight I probably should not have done. I will definitely show the new chaos here soon (and hopefully someday the solution), so this sequel is still to be continued!
One step further with a few works! Now they have to ‘simmer’ for a bit, just like soup: have them standing around for a while, occasionally looking at them, and then usually I'll have an idea about the next ingredient. Or their flavor suddenly seems just right, that also happens.
