Dit is een paneel waar ik heel lang aan gewerkt heb; ik denk bijna een jaar. Niet continu, natuurlijk. Soms stond het maandenlang in de kast of tegen de muur van mijn atelier. Ik merk wel dat het moeilijker wordt om iets af te maken, hoe langer je het uitstelt. Dus deze is nu klaar: ‘Circus of Life’, acryl en collage op mdf paneel, 80 x 80 centimeter.
This is an example of a panel that took me a long time to finish; I think almost a year. Of course I didn't work on it continuously. Sometimes I put it away for months at a time, or it was just standing there in my studio, waiting for me to do something about it. I notice it gets harder to finish something, the longer you postpone. So this one is done now: ‘Circus of Life’, acrylics and collage on board, 80 x 80 centimetres.
