Naast het Alfabetproject (waarin ik elke week een illustratie maak), leek het me ook leuk om te werken aan een wat grotere illustratie per maand, dus met allerlei dingen (karton en papiertjes) en associaties die in een maand voorbij komen. Ik was van plan om er steeds een hele maand aan te werken – bij beetjes – maar de illustratie voor de maand januari was opeens klaar! Dus hier is-ie, iets eerder dan gepland: collage en mixed media op papier, formaat ±30x45 cm.
Besides the Alphabet Project (which means making an illustration every week), it seemed like fun to work on a larger illustration each month, incorporating things (like cardboard and scaps of paper) and associations that occur within that month. I had planned to work on these larger illustrations for a whole month each – bit by bit – but the January illustration suddenly looked finished! So here it is: collage and mixed media on paper, size ±30x45 cm.
