De Stichting Draailier & Doedelzak bestaat 40 jaar en dat vierden ze o.a. met een extra lang en feestelijk Paasweekend vol muziekworkshops en concerten. Er kwam ook een jubileumuitgave met ‘deunen’ en ik mocht de illustraties + vormgeving van het omslag verzorgen. Heel blij met het resultaat! En er staat zelfs ook nog een ‘deun’ van mij binnenin: een wals in 11 tijden, genaamd Klokslag Elf, die ik schreef samen met Irene Koster. Een fragment daarvan kun je hier beluisteren.
The Dutch Hurdy Gurdy & Bagpipe Foundation is celebrating its 40 years of existence. There was a weekend full of music workshops and concerts and also the publication of a tunebook. I had the honour of illustrating and designing the cover for this book. One of my own tunes even made it into the book: a waltz in 11 times, called Klokslag Elf (The Clock strikes Eleven), which I wrote together with Irene Koster. You can listen to a fragment of it here.
