Because certain musical instruments at the MIM were a bit too complicated for me to sketch last Saturday, I was searching the museum for something else. Then I found a miniature orchestra: a cabinet full of little figurines, each with their own musical instrument. Skillfully made in detail (with even very characteristic facial expressions) around 1850. So, I hovered around the display cabinet for a while with my sketchbook and made my own version of various little musicians on paper. Now I have scanned and printed these drawings and they are waiting for me to find some time to add color :-D. To be continued for sure!

Miniatuurorkest
